“Actor of the Decade” award presented to Mammootty

The “Actor of the Decade” award was presented to Mammootty at the Jai Hind Utsav Film Awards ceremony, held at the Corporation Stadium in Kozhikode to celebrate the second anniversary of Jai Hind TV.

Other honorees included Dileep for producing the best film, “Twenty:20”; Prithviraj for best actor; Gopika for best actress; Ranjith for best director; Jayaram for most popular actor; Jagathy Sree Kumar for his overall contribution to Malayalam cinema; Sreenivasan for excellence in different aspects of film-making; Siddique for second-best actor; Samvruta Sunil for second-best actor; G. Venugopal for best singer; Manjari for best female singer; and Lalu Alex for a special award.

The ceremony also featured musical performances by Blaze and Vasundhara Das, a dance by film actor Sweta Menon, and special tribute sessions for the legendary singer Mohammed Rafi and music director Baburaj.
