Malayalam film star Mammootty has produced a documentary aimed at encouraging people in Kerala to avoid alcohol. The documentary features a message saying “Say No to Liquor and Say No to Drugs.” The film was launched by Kerala’s Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and will be shown in theaters, on television, and in educational institutions. The goal is to target schoolchildren and teach them about the dangers of alcohol and drugs. Kerala has the highest alcohol consumption rate in India and the government earned over 5,000 crore rupees from liquor sales in the last fiscal year.
